The legendary experimental vehicle C 111 / II with 4.5 litre V8 engine as a true-to-detail miniature model: the precision model made from more than 144 separate parts recalls a true icon from automotive history. It was with this vehicle that Daimler-Benz caused a sensation around the world with the introduction of the "rolling test laboratory" in 1969. An extreme wedge shape, gullwing doors which opened upward and, last but not least, the unconventional and conspicuous painting made the supercar a real head-turner in terms of appearance, while technical innovations such as the three-rotor Wankel engine with an output of 280 hp propelled it at remarkable maximum speeds. Over the following years, the C 111 continued on the successful motorsport story and generated publicity with multiple record-breaking drives over various distances. The collectors' model produced on a scale of 1:18 impresses with its extremely high level of detail: gullwing doors and tailgate open, the front headlamps can be folded down, the interior features high-quality decoration and the removable boot tub in the rear allows you to see the engine – just as in the original. The model is supplied in Mercedes-Benz Classic packaging – including a screwdriver for safe removal and glove to protect the surfaces.
